In the Basque Country we have a great passion for the mountain and there are also referential races in the world of Trail Running such as Euskalraid in Baigorri, Gorbeia Suzien in Zeanuri, Zegama-Aizkorri marathon in Goierri area, T3T and T2T in Tolosaldea and Triku Trail in Sakana. This passion for the mountain and for this sport that is currently booming, has caused 5 natural environments throughout the Basque Country to create a new brand to unify the recreational practice of this sport and help the knowledge of different places: EH TRAIL GUNEAK.
EH Trail Guneak is a space adapted to the practice of trailrunning, that is, to run on the mountain. It offers paths of different levels, homologated and with a specific signage in addition to tours of different mountain races.
The paths are aimed both at those who start in this sport and for experts who want to improve and look for a place to train and organize training camps.
EH Trail Guneak is formed by 42 routes of different difficulties and lengths, were you can enjoy different Natural Parks and places of natural interest.

5 entries: Baigorri, Goierri, Gorbeia, Sakana and Tolosaldea
EH Trail Guneak has five entrances: Abaltzisketa (Tolosaldea), Baigorri (Baigorri), Uharte-Arakil (Sakana), Zeanuri (Gorbeia) and Zegama (Goierri).
•From the town of Abaltzisketa: access by the Aralar Natural Park.
•From Baigorri: access to the Aldude mountains.
•From Uharte-Arakil: access through from Aralar special conservation areaand Urbasa and Andia Natural Park.
•From Zeanuri: access to the Gorbeia Natural Park.
•From Zegama: access through Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Park, whose mountain range is an authentic mountain wall between Gipuzkoa and Alava, a point of reference for Basque mountaineering.
Zegama and Abaltzisketa are connected by a 35 km route.
Each entrance has routes of well-known mountain races marked throughout the year to be able to train
Entrances are equiped with showers and changing rooms.
Although the itineraries are signposted, it is mandatory to use GPS while you perform the routes. Inclement weather makes some areas very challenging even for local runners!
