Basques have a great passion for the mountains, especially in Goierri where two of the most important races in the trail running circles take place: Zegama-Aizkorri Marathon and Ehunmilak Ultra-Trail race (together with G2H and Marimurumendi Marathon, on the same weekend).
The EH Trail Guneak has five main entrances: Abaltzisketa (Tolosaldea), Baigorri (Baigorri), Uharte-Arakil (Sakana), Zeanuri (Gorbeia) and Zegama (Goierri).

•From the town of Abaltzisketa: access by the Aralar Natural Park.
•From Baigorri: access to the Aldude mountains.
•From Uharte-Arakil: access through the Aralar Natural Park and Urbasa and Andia especial conservation area.
•From Zeanuri: access to the Gorbeia Natural Park.
•From Zegama: access through the Natural Park of Aizkorri-Aratz, whose sierra is a real mountainous wall between Gipuzkoa and Álava, a reference point for the Basque mountaineering.
Its cultural heritage includes dolmens, ancestral caves, and medieval roads. There are 16 tracks along both natural parks and the entrances from Zegama and Abaltzisketa are connected by a 35 km route. In Sakana we have 5 routes divided between Aralar and Urbasa-Andia nature park. The station replicate the vertical distance to get to Aizkorri, Txindoki and Beriain, as well as Zegama-Aizkorri Marathon’s whole journey and part of Ehunmillak’s Ultra-Trail.
In Baigorri we will be able to tour the spectacular mountains of Alduide, which will undoubtedly impress us along its 12 routes.
From Zeanuri, Orozko and Ubide we will travel the Gorbeia Natural Park through 9 tours.
Each acces has showersa and changing rooms. There is also specialised staff -elite athletes included- to help you out! Although the itineraries are signposted, it is mandatory to use GPS while you perform the routes. Inclement weather makes some areas very challenging even for local runners!
