The route begins in the Zerain square and runs along the village’s main street, descending to Ostatu reastaurant and passing by the pelota court known as “fronton”.
With Aralar Natural Park and Txindoki as a backdrop, we enter the Burgomendi forest via Antxaputzu. Going around the hill, at the Antxaputzu roundabout we return to the square, passing by the bowling alley, the hostel, the ethnographic museum, Mandio and the church.
The route forms a figure of eight. On this route, as well as recognising the ornamental species that embellish the streets and squares of Zerain, you will discover the Burgomendi oak forest.
Burgomendi is the ecological lung that large cities long for and is located almost in the town centre of Zerain.
