Gaintza
Gaintza’s points of interest are San Miguel’s Church, built with a splendid series of Gothic arches on the main entrance -very well conserved-, a modern fronton (place to play basque games), and a few farms decorating the hills and forests.
The Church of San Martín de Tours, located on the outskirts, deserves to be mentioned for its richly-coloured Renaissance altarpiece kept inside. The views from Gaintza are a delight: on a sunny day you can even see the Cantabrian Sea!
