For over 500 years, our ancestors used these paths to connect these two worlds. Peribidea should not be understood as a single path, but rather as a network of paths: a network that connected the villages and farmhouses of Gaintza, Baliarrain, Altzaga and Arama with one another and with the industrial and commercial centres of the Goierri region.<\/p>\n<p>Peribidea, therefore, unites us: it connects us with our history and our legends, with our ancestors and descendants, with our land and our roots. Yet these connections do not limit us. On the contrary, they provide the foundations of our identity in the world. The people who have travelled these paths and the landscapes surrounding them have changed over the centuries. We are not the same as we once were, but we are who we are today, and we will be who we are tomorrow, thanks to what we were yesterday.
