Villages
Mutiloa
The parish church of San Miguel is the heart of the village. In the district of Liernia, one of the most charming parts of the village, there is a hermitage worth a visit: the tradition says you need to light some candles as an offering to the Virgin so she will protect the health of the children and the fertility of women.
This part of the village also offers an excellent view of Sierra de Aizkorri! The Vía Verde -Green Route– has been fully redesigned and is 4’5 km long. It goes from Aizpea Mines to Ormaiztegi’s train station. This route matches the journey that the iron followed, from the its extraction in mines to its smelting in the foundries.
