This circular route starts in the square of the village in Gaintza, where you will take the road GI-3371 that goes to Zaldibia, but only for 50 metres, where you will change to the track on the right heading to Altzagarate.

Find the PR-GI 29 yellow-white signs that will guide you:

After passing by Altzagarate, you will get to Bilkoin’s cross, where you can turn right towards Baliarrain. During the hike you will see San José’s fountain and the village of Baliarrain. Once in the village, go to the end of Malkor street where you will see a track leading to the end of the hike (3 km more).

Take this hike if you want to see amazing views of mountain Txindoki in a peaceful environment.
