Goierri is the perfect place for you to go hiking, for everybody and surrounded by a wonderful environment.
We have a lot of routes and trails to get lost in to discover the Basque Highlands, but we have selected 6 routes of different difficulty to show you. Hope you like them!
Route 1 - From Lizarrusti to Lareo
Beautiful route in the Natural Park of Aralar where you will feel far from everything and connected with Basque mythology
Route 2 - Mutiloa-Ormaiztegi greenway
An old mining railway track has become a green road that runs up there on high along mountains slopes and with beautiful views of Goierri valley
Route 3 - Sara Route
It is a 7 kilometre circular route, well signposted and very easy and nice. It is one of the easiest hiking trails in Aralar
Route 4 - San Adrian tunnel
Splendorous nature and history join in this mythical route, ideal for all ages, located in the Aizkorri-Aratz Nature Park
Route 5 - Ascent to Aizkorri
If you want to climb to the highest peak and with more history of Euskadi, this is your route
Route 6 - Segura-Zegama path
We propose you to follow the bike path that connects Segura -a beautiful middle age village- with Zegama
