Gabiria is located in one of the highest points in Goierri. In the Basque language, they call the village “the one that can be seen from anywhere” and it’s 37 minutes away from San Sebastián.At that height, just imagine the views you will see!

Beasain
Beasain has the greatest population in Goierri, with over 14,000 inhabitants. It’s only 28 minutes away from San Sebastián, driving on the A1.

Ataun
Ataun is the longest village in Guipúzcoa. Admire its fascinating geological phenomenon: a dome.

Arama
Arama is the smallest village in the historic territory of Guipuzcoa, with a population smaller than 200 people over an extension of 1.3 km². It is located right in the centre of Goierri. Do you know its architectural heritage?

Altzaga
Altzaga is a village located in the mountains, facing Sierra de Aralar. It has a great view of Txindoki -Guipuzcoa’s most iconic mountain- and many other peaks. It’s only a 28 minute drive from San Sebastian.

Museums and tourist offices
Goierri has 9 tourist offices to inform visitors about different plans, activities, restaurants, accommodation, museums, interpretation centres… The offices’ main purpose is to help you find plans not just in Goierri but in Guipuzcoa and the Basque Country.

Cycling routes
There is a bike lane -bidegorri- connecting the towns in the valley. You can also reach the ones inside the mountains. It is incredible how people love cycling here! Some of the lanes are also suitable to practice Nordic walking. Additionally, you can walk or skate down those lanes.

Climbing
Practice sport climbing in Ataun! Come see our walls, there are 250 lines open, several levels of difficulty, and our group of instructors eager to meet you.

Trail station
Explore one of our passions: the mountain. In Goierri we celebrate 2 trail races known around the world: Zegama-Aizkorri marathon and Ehunmillak ultra-trail (held together with G2H and Marimurumendi marathon taking place in the same weekend).

Hiking: Olaberria – Idiazabal
The hike takes place between the villages of Olaberria and Idiazabal, and their caseríos. Olaberria, known as Goierri’s Balcony, is a small village in the hillocks.

Climbing Aizkorri
Meet the most popular peak in the Basque Country: the Aizkorri. To get to the summit, we recommend leaving your car in the parking area located under San Adrián’s tunnel. You will get to see the tunnel, walk on the medieval road and get to the top through the Camino de los Alaveses.

If you want to practice orienteering as a game and a sport, come to Zegama. There are three circuits with several levels of difficulty for everyone to enjoy. The starting point is Parketxe de Anduetza where you will get the maps to lead you.
